From February 24 to March 3, 2024, the artist Yakès unveils his first solo show, “Granuja,” at the Adda Gallery in collaboration with Urban Art Crew. Inspired by his childhood memories and passion for drawing, this exhibition provides an intimate and powerful insight into the quest for creativity and the desire to blur the lines between figurative and abstract art.

With this series of paintings created in his studio over the past two years, Yakès shares with the public a lesser-known facet of his work. He draws inspiration from his Spanish origins, particularly his nickname “Granuja”, given by his grandfather and translated into French as “Little Rascal.”

Born in 1991 in Paris, Yakès is a multidisciplinary artist.
He divides his career between painting, drawing, tattooing, and beatmaking. Coming from the graffiti movement and having pursued studies in applied arts, his two worlds enable him to assert his artistic identity.
Distinguished by his recurring visual elements and organic compositions, his creations serve as an open window to the world around us.
Currently, he lives and works in Paris.
